Hello,

Empowered Healing Through Trauma-Focused Psychotherapy

About Me

As a dedicated Registered Social Worker (RSW) with over 10 years of experience, I have guided individuals of all ages—men, women, and children—on their healing journeys. My approach is comprehensive and adaptable, incorporating a diverse range of modalities such as EMDR, Somatic Experiencing, Parts Work, Art-Based Approaches, and Equine Assisted Therapy.

What truly distinguishes me is the unique blend of my professional expertise as a Trauma-Focused Therapist and my journey of healing from trauma.

My path to becoming a trauma-focused therapist was ignited by my own challenges as a therapy client. My experience ranged from making no improvement to being harmed by therapists that were not adequately trained in working with trauma. I have dedicated my  career to treating the symptoms of trauma that reduce our ability to connect with others and disrupt long-term health and well-being.

I believe a compassionate and empathetic therapeutic relationship is a vital component of trauma therapy; however, it takes more than just the attuned presence of a therapist to heal from trauma, which is why I focus on treating the symptoms that my clients identify as causing the biggest disruption in their life.

This dual perspective equips me with a deep understanding of the bravery, dedication, and challenges that accompany this path.

My Experience & Training

I believe that the journey to emotional well-being is a tapestry woven with different threads of healing. Whether it’s through harnessing the connection between humans and horses to facilitate restorative experiences, the expressive strokes of a paintbrush as an alternative to traditional talk therapy to process traumatic experiences or the profound breakthroughs that can occur with EMDR, I am here to guide you every step of the way.

I have dedicated my career to integrating several therapeutic modalities so that I can adapt my approach to fit each person's unique needs.
